Our
Founders
Story

Markeea (Keea) Hart is a powerhouse of creativity, intention, and community-rooted purpose. As the founder of Girls Running Shit (GRS) and The Creative’s Table, she has cultivated platforms that celebrate authenticity, elevate underrepresented voices, and build spaces where connection, healing, and growth thrive.
With a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Edinboro University, Markeea’s journey has taken her from Washington, D.C., to Atlanta, Erie, and back to her hometown of Pittsburgh. Along the way, she’s carved out a name for herself in social media marketing, graphic design, and event curation—always with a mission to bring people together in meaningful and creative ways.
Markeea is especially passionate about community wellness. She’s been hosting Wellness Workshop Days in Pittsburgh, creating accessible, affirming spaces for people to prioritize their mental, physical, and emotional health. Whether it’s through movement, mindfulness, or open conversation, these workshops reflect her belief that community care is the foundation of individual empowerment.
Her work doesn’t stop there—Markeea has also partnered with organizations like Google and Vibrant Pittsburgh to push forward inclusive storytelling and innovative community engagement strategies.
Looking ahead, she’s focused on expanding GRS’s impact through wellness initiatives, charitable projects, and new media ventures. For Markeea, building community isn’t just what she does—it’s who she is.
